Inspires Legacy Branding “Sealed with A Kiss: Mixed Media Portraits
of Susan B. Anthony, Past and Present”
Rochester, NY–SEPT 13, 2012 — Legacy Women Institute International, a social entrepreneur enterprise dedicated to documenting, branding, and marketing the legacy and leadership of extraordinary women, today announced its legacy branding strategy to use mixed media portraits designed by twelve (12) local artists.
We will use the portraits we titled: “Sealed With A Kiss: Susan B. Anthony, past and present” to inspire women to get their legacy on and make a difference.” says Dr. Cofield. “We were excited to win the portraits because together they both represent the artistic expression, theme, and message of this year’s conference. We plan to use them as our national icons for all our future conferences.”
“If Susan B. Anthony were alive, what legacy would she leave for us today?” is a great way to have women think deeply about their goals in life, “Said Dr. Cofield. This question should inspire women today to taking on launching their legacy, or their BIG dream, to make a difference in peoples lives.
“The portraits will be displayed for viewing at the upcoming Susan B. Anthony Legacy Women’s Conference & Expo where the artists will share their answers to the question.
Abstract mixed media portraits of Susan B. Anthony, past and present, where designed by the contribution of twelve artists commissioned by Jacqueline Palmiere of Arete’ Gallery, and given away at a silent action to benefit the artists and Voter’s Walk (Barbara Hoffman, founder). Dr. Melody Cofield, announced that Legacy Women Institute International is now the proud new owner of both portraits.
“Each of the artists were inspired to present their point of view of the past and the present and added individually to each portrait. The artists included a mosaic of artistic talents including: painting, jewelry, photography, sculpture, and pottery. One artist even kissed the paintings leaving her lipstick impressions on the portraits to symbolize the “love and gratitude” women feel towards the legendary woman, which was later sprayed and sealed.”
“We will be surveying conference attendees and website visitors: Visit:www.legacywoman.com for more information about the portrait paintings and the upcoming conference.
