Women’s Conference Keynote: Why Resilience is the Secret to Security
SUSAN B. ANTHONY
Legacy Women’s Conference & Expo
Presented by Legacy Women Institute International
Academy of Medicine
Rochester, NY–OCT 20, 2012 — Legacy Women Institute International, a social entrepreneur enterprise dedicated to documenting, branding, and marketing the legacy and leadership of extraordinary women, is showcasing a line-up of speakers who will help women understand the challenges they face in the 21st century.
The conference introduces keynote speaker, SUSAN BRADLEY, Founder of the Sudden Money® Institute of Palm Beach, Florida, the center for research and training in financial transitions planning. “When life changes, money changes, and when money changes, life changes” is Susan’s famous mantra. Through the Institute, Susan develops and trains experienced financial advisors in practical models, tool, and processes to effectively help clients navigate change.
“Susan understands the growing role women play in building a legacy of personal wealth” says Kathy Roth, of Waterstone Partners and speaker sponsor for this year’s Conference. “Susan is nationally recognized by the Financial Planning industry as one of today’s thought leaders, changing the way advisors work with their clients. We are excited to sponsor her presentation this year.”
“More women are supporting families than ever in the history of our nation. In today’s relationships, four out of five couples are dual-earner couples. Money is central to our existence and the fuel that makes our life work. This is the reason it was essential to have Susan at our conference this year”, says Dr. Melody Cofield, Executive Director.
“We realize that financial transitions are composed of an Ending, a Passage, and a New Normal,” says Susan. “The experience we create for our clients begins with an exploration of what their particular Ending means to them. Our core belief is that there is a human side and a technical side to financial transitions and both are equally complex and unique.” Bradley is the founder of Women, Meaning, and Money®, a specialized program for women of wealth. Susan is the author of “Sudden Money, Managing a Financial Windfall” (Wiley 2000).
