“Failure is Impossible” Tour Builds Women’s Confidence
New Product Line for Legacy Women
Learn from the past — Take Action — Change the Future
Rochester, NY–Sept 13, 2012 — Legacy Women Institute International, a social entrepreneur enterprise dedicated to documenting, branding, and marketing the legacy and leadership of extraordinary women, announced the introduction of a new product line: Legacy Women Tours.
Based out of Rochester, Failure is Impossible is the first in a series of the Legacy Women Tours designed for women. It is an exploration of the role of four women who played key roles during the Women’s Right to Vote Movement including: Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Harriet Tubman, and Martha Matilda Harper. The full day tour launches OCTOBER 19, 2012 at 7:30 AM ending at 5:00 PM.
“The Women’s Right to Vote movement is a history every women should know. Without it, potential gaps exists that might thwart women’s ability to be confident, nurture creativity and develop strategies for innovation. These are qualities that are intuitively natural for women” Dr. Melody Cofield, Executive Director, explains, “But, without the history, women may second guess their abilities.”
“Furthermore”, Dr. Cofield explains “for a woman to not know Susan B. Anthony or Alice Paul, is equivalent to anyone who is African American not knowing about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.”
“Our first tour begins with the Susan B. Anthony House, which takes advantage of the rich history this community offers for women especially important for cross-generational bonding. I do, however, find that women over 50 also lack the knowledge of this important history. It is extraordinary, that Susan B. Anthony’s home is right in our back yard. If we don’t understand our past, we might repeat unnecessary aspects that could slow our progress and take us into challenging territories.” Cofield explains. “Combined with the Legacy Women’s Conference & Expo, this tour promises to arm women with tools and strategies to help women “Get Your Legacy On” and to “Launch Your Legacy” through legacy education, legacy exposure, and connections.”
Who Should Attend and How?
The tour is perfect for mothers and daughters, girl friends, best friends, soul mates, educators, students and champions (women) and ambassadors (men) who support women achieving their dreams.
Cost: $125, includes bus, tour guides, entry fees, and networking reception. Complete tour includes: Susan B. Anthony House, park, and cemetery, Women’s Right National Historical Park, and Harriet Tubman House or National Women’s Hall of Fame.
